Annual Carol Service - 11 December 2019

The Westerleigh Group crematorium at Gedling held its third Annual Carol Service on Wednesday 11 December 2019. Jointly led by Rev Keith Williams & Civil Celebrant, Rebecca White, it included readings and poems given by local Funeral Directors as well as a visual tribute of photographs of loved ones being remembered that night, which was accompanied by the song ‘When a child is born’ by Johnny Mathis.

The service was a great success, with 130 public and 7 staff in attendance, the chapel full with many standing and many compliments were received on the night and afterwards to say how comforting and helpful the service was to those attending.

The team were proud to present a cheque on the night to the Nottinghamshire Hospice for £7,710.17p from the Metal Recycling Scheme during 2019.
